Omron E2A3 phase out
To keep ahead of the ever-growing technological requirements of the industry, the Japanese electronics conglomerate, Omron, has updated its portfolio of long-distance cylindrical inductive proximity sensors.
At the end of December 2020, Omron will be phasing out the E2A3 series and, in January 2021, the popular sensor range will be superseded by the next generation in inductive sensing-technology from Omron: the E2E NEXT series.
The E2E NEXT series boasts a wide array of improvements but the most notable is the range, which has nearly doubled since the previous E2A3 models.
According to an Omron investigation of DC 3-wire models from December 2018, the E2E NEXT series has the world's longest distance detection at up to four times the sensing range of other standard inductive sensors on the market.
Other E2E NEXT series options and benefits include:
- 360° visible output indicator
- -25°C to +70°C operating temperature
- DC 2-wire and DC 3-wire versions
- Shielded and unshielded versions
- PNP or NPN units (3-wire versions)
- Splatter resistant coating available
- Short and long body housing options
- Connection options:
- Pre-wire PVC
- Pre-wire Robot PVC
- PVC pigtail
- Robot PVC Pigtail
- M8 3 pin
- M8 4 pin
- M12 4 pin
