- mapp PackML implements the OMAC PackML standard in a machine or manufacturing system. When configuring mapp PackML, the user defines which modes should be used and which ignored. In addition, the PackTags structure can be used. The various states and modes of a machine can be displayed in an HMI application as a table or graph.

- mapp Report provides a wide range of options for presenting machine data in reports. Format, appearance, design, images, font and much more can be freely defined, making it possible to match the corporate design, for example. The language and units to be used can be also be defined. To prevent unauthorized access, it is possible to protect created files with a password. Data can be exported to external storage media such as USB flash drives. All machine data as well as data from other mapp components such as energy consumption, alarms, user actions and much more can be included in the reports.

- The information to be sent via SMS text message or the commands being processed by the machine are defined when the component is set up. This allows certain alarms to be defined in mapp AlarmX that will send an SMS text message when triggered. The time period in which the recipient must respond can be defined. If no response is received, the message is automatically forwarded to the next defined contact. SMS communication also works in the other direction. The state of a machine can be queried per SMS text message, for example, or a different reaction triggered. SMS text messages can be sent or received either via the B&R SiteManager or another modem that uses the AT command set.

- mapp UserX allows a user management system to be set up with just a few clicks. Both users and roles can be created and managed. This includes access rights, user data, password rules, logging in/out and connecting to the HMI application.

- The corporate license allows the use of Automation Studio by all users at a company at all of a company's sites, including all associated companies, for a period of one year. With the corporate license, it is permitted to license Automation Studio on a B&R Automation PC that is delivered with the machine if it can be guaranteed that only service personnel working for the machine or plant manufacturer will have access to that instance of Automation Studio. Licensing takes place via activation over the Internet. After one year, the license will automatically be extended an additional year and invoiced accordingly as long as the license has not been canceled before expiration.

- The single-user license allows exactly one user to use Automation Studio at any given time for a period of one year. The license is stored on a Technology Guard (dongle). This permits multiple users to share the right to use Automation Studio on different workstations by connecting the Technology Guard with the single-user license to the respective workstation computer. After one year, the license will automatically be extended an additional year and invoiced accordingly as long as the license has not been canceled before expiration. The Technology Guard is not included in the single-user license (separate order required).

- A site license allows the use of Automation Studio by any number of users at a single company location. The users must be employed at the respective company site but can use Automation Studio regardless of their location (internationally active service technicians, for example). Licensing takes place via activation over the Internet. After one year, the license will automatically be extended an additional year and invoiced accordingly as long as the license has not been canceled before expiration.
